Controlling and registering garments offers, next to the facts of the registration,

How do we accomplish that?

Our experience has taught us, that control starts with making every garment
in circulation unique. That can be done with barcodes or chips.
In both situations, a unique number is assigned to the article and will stay
assigned tot that article as a 'chassis number'.

After entering the unique number, issuing garments can be easily done by
scanning the chip or barcode: fast, easy and 100% reliable.

The system registers the issue to a wearer and is able to trace the history
of a garment. This way, all processes that are carried out during the life span
of the garment, can be registered and consulted afterwards:
washings, repairs, issues to various wearers during life span etc.
Solar supports permanent as well as one-off issue of garments to wearers.

The Solar system can also register and process the issue of non-unique coded
garments of wearers.

With Solar you can gather a lot of information to control and save expenses.

 · Which garments are in circulation and for how long?
 · Are all garments handed in (home-washing, theft, 'is it still there' etc)
 · What is in stock?
 · What is the exact life span of the garments?
 · Order- and hand-in habits of employees
 · Registration of garments for temporary employees

Solar supports the management and control of both new and used stock.

Since stock information is on-line, it is easily viewed to determine
the availability of garments prior to or at the time of issue.
Solar easily records issues as put in service and receipts of both
new and used items back into stock. Inventory updates are easily processed.
Solar allows users to correct inventory quantities after taking inventory
or as a result of periodic cycle counting.
This way stockroom inventory is always accurate!

Solar is supplied with a brief, but complete manual.
Step by step, you will be guided through the program
and tips and hints will be given. Solar has been pre-configured,
which enables you to make a quick start.

If you wish to be visited by one of our consultants prior to installing Solar,
that is of course possible, but not necessary.
However, it is always good to know that you can consult them in case you have
questions about control or management of garments.

Because Solar has an interface with label printers, it only requires basic data
to be entered prior to starting the system.

The use of the latest screen management technologies allows users
to customize screens to meet their needs. The layout of a screen and the icons
available can be tailored to the user's responsibilities and functions.
Information can be sorted and arranged easily by using the mouse.
With this easy way of processing information users can obtain a "fast view"
of the information in the database.

Solar utilises the latest Microsoft Windows® and NTÔ local area network technology.
It's a new generation of software that emphasises user-friendliness and performance!
The results can be quickly viewed on-screen or printed for later review.
Newly developed, easy-to-understand icons increase the recognisability
of frequently used functions (for example fast data export to Excel or HTML format).
Icon-directed menu options provide a clear and concise view of the features available
from each screen. Large sized icons are easily seen and accessed.

Solar supports printing name labels on the most frequently used labelling systems.

Solar operates on standard IBM-compatible personal computer systems.
Solar requires Microsoft Windows® NT Server with either Windows® 98
or a NT Workstation. A standard PC will suffice.
Solar is available in stand-alone and network versions.
